Our Commitment to Safety
As we come to terms with living alongside Covid-19, Lavender Hill is committed to offering a safe Farm Gate pick up experience. We will never come within the prescribed physical distancing guidelines, and we will always wash our hands thoroughly and/or wear disposable gloves when packaging orders.
We are committed to following Best Practices as outlined under:

AND
Public Safety Protocols for Ontario’s Farmers’ Markets Updated April 7, 2020 OPTION 2: Protocols for E-Commerce/E-Market protocols
Observing the following controls:
- Eliminate exposure by having customers pre-pay online
- A Process that minimizes time required for the customer to retrieve their order at the Farm Gate by having the customer choose a preferred day and time slot for pickup. ONLY one customer pickup per 1 hour time slot.
- Physical distancing: we are committed to staying a minimum 2 metres away from customers at the Farm Gate (if contact is required)
- Cleaning touched surfaces: picking up at the Farm Gate may result in a customer touching the gate and/or pick up basket. We are committed to cleaning this area between back-to-back pick up time slots. We use bleach and water solution and single use paper towels.
- Surfaces where orders are prepared and held waiting are cleaned and disinfected regularly with either bleach solution or Lysol disinfecting cleaner.
- Orders are placed into new bags labelled with customer name, order number, and pick up day and time.
