Hippie Potz

p1050004In a previous Blog I told you about the time my axe hit wet wood, stopped and kicked back. The energy of the swing travelled back up the handle of the axe and reverberated though my right hand, wrist and forearm. That pretty much put a stop to chopping wood or doing anything else that involved lifting or using my wrist. Acute Tendonitis. This is also why I’ve not blogged about any new creations of Lavender Hill Hippie Bags as I’ve been unable to manage the hook.

I’ve been doing a lot of therapy and slowly I’ve been able to once again do some Hookie! First slowly and lightly = small manageable hook and lightweight yarn…however the big news is I am once again able to manage the BIG hook and multiple strands of yarn that are my preferred tools for creating my one-of-a-kind Hippie Bags! My summer therapy with the big hook resulted in these Hippie Potz ~ like my Hippie Bags ~ a play with texture, colour and 3D form. It feels SO good to be able to create these larger pieces once again! I can’t wait to get to my next/first Lavender Hill Hippie Bag since my injury!

And a few more created since the original posting date:
